In the year of 2014, Josiah Jones and his high-school friends actively participated in the exchange of stories over the lunch room table. Some discussed their dreams from the previous night, others told of whimsical plots from the books they wanted to write. Soon the stories took on an interactive nature, taking on unspoken rules and mechanics. As the idea blossomed, it transformed into a 9 year long project full of twists, bumps, and turns, eventually becoming the game we know today as
the ‘Keyrealms.’

Founded in 2019 by Josiah Jones, along with Charles Jennings and Trey Reamer, our studio is dedicated to redefining tabletop roleplaying games. We've poured years of work into creating the flexible, interactive, and engaging 'Keyrealms' system, empowering players to unleash their imagination. With the invaluable support of our community, we're committed to expanding 'Keyrealms' further, introducing new mechanics, settings, and adventures. We're deeply grateful to our community for their unwavering support in our mission to push the boundaries of tabletop RPGs.

STORY

As our community grows, so do our ambitions. The Keyrealms universe is teeming with creative potential that cannot be contained within a single book. We have exciting plans on the horizon, including three expansions for the core rule book, setting guides, standalone rule segments, and a wealth of additional content.

Moreover, our digital format provides us with a unique advantage. We're committed to keeping the game fresh and responsive to player feedback by using community surveys to gather data. This means we can continuously update and enhance the core rule book, ensuring that the Keyrealms experience evolves in harmony with our ever-expanding community.

 

MEET THE TEAM

TREY REGISTER

CO-FOUNDER

  • Trey Register, a long-time fan of fantasy and RPGs, serves as one of our Lead Developers. His primary role involves balancing the game mechanics for the various races and classes in Keyrealms.

    Trey is responsible for rigorously testing and refining these mechanics, and he's the go-to person for proposing adjustments or improvements. He brings solid academic credentials to the table, having graduated from Samford University with a major in Computer Science and minors in Mathematics and Business.

    Trey's expertise and passion for the genre make him an essential part of our development team, dedicated to fine-tuning the Keyrealms gaming experience.

JOSIAH JONES

FOUNDER

  • Josiah Jones, an accomplished designer, boasts over a decade of experience in both architecture and visual design. He is the visionary behind 'Keyrealms,' having founded and spearheaded the game's development. Josiah has been instrumental in shaping both the game's creative style and its mechanical direction.

    Collaborating closely with the lead designers, he plays a critical role in evaluating proposals and community feedback, ensuring that the game provides the highest quality play experience and maintains a robust mechanical framework.

    Josiah's artistic flair shines in the rulebook's illustrations, and he has contributed the majority of the captivating stories within its pages. In 2020, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing his Masters in Architecture, further enriching his design expertise.

CHARLES JENNINGS

CO-FOUNDER

  • Charles Jennings, a seasoned artist with over 8 years of experience, serves as one of the Lead Designers for the Keyrealms rulebook. His artistic talents extend across various aspects of the game's development.

    Charles has crafted several striking cover arts and designed graphics for the Magic Codices, adding a visual dimension to the game's world. In addition to his artistic contributions, he actively participates in the development of gameplay mechanics, including classes and races. His role involves rigorous playtesting, offering invaluable feedback and proposals to refine these game elements.

    Beyond the creative realm, Charles takes charge of marketing and manages the studio's social media channels for Keyrealms. He recently earned his Bachelor's in Computer Game Design from George Mason University, solidifying his expertise in the field and his pivotal role in the Keyrealms Studio team.
